Role

The Board of the Hackuarium association is responsible for running the association.

The purpose, composition, roles and tasks of the board are explicitly described in the founding document of the association

Tasks

The tasks of the board members are up to the board itself, but the following roles and tasks have been decided:

Rachel Aronoff

  • Represents the association
  • Moderates meetings
  • Convenes the General Assembly
  • Sign contracts on behalf of the association after consulting the board or the community
  • Supervises association's general activities.

  • Take care of all invoices and receipts

  • Plan board meetings (dates, agenda, reminders)
  • Plan General Assembly upon request from President
  • Keep board meeting minutes

  • plan and organise art and design / STEAM initiatives
  • accompagnement des nouveaux membres dans ce contexte
  • dissemination and crosspollination across disciplines and associations/foundations/structures


Evangéliste / Talent scout

  • identify individuals and communities and contact them
  • identify events to attend and Hackuarium presence


Responsable communication / Communication manager

(role distributed among several in 2021, RA, EC, TE - need more cross posting)

  • Posting our events on FB, twitter, slack, meetup & the wiki
  • Posting promotions on our facebook page about our activities and stuff members have done
  • Posting about what other labs and groups have been doing (with help from delegated members)
  • Posting about the latest biohacker/maker technologies
  • Press relations (hello address access)
  • Press kit updates

Community Happiness

  • Check and propose improvements for microgrant process + assess community needs about them

Since the general assembly meeting on February, 19 2020, the Board members are:
